Fort Wayne, Indiana ABC affiliate WPTA has reportedly laid off staff just two weeks before Christmas.
Longtime WPTA anchor Melissa Long alerted viewers via Facebook. “Please join me in wishing well several long-time employees at WPTA who are being laid off. They are behind the scenes and they kept the station running for decades…too many to name here.”
The station has not confirmed the layoffs, and no details have been released about the number of employees involved.
