CBS Corp. Chairman Sumner Redstone may be questioned in former anchorman Dan Rather‘s lawsuit against the broadcaster, a judge in New York ruled.
State Supreme Court Justice Ira Gammerman yesterday rejected a request by CBS to block a deposition of Redstone, 86, and said Rather’s attorneys may question him for half a day. Rather claims CBS fired him on Redstone’s orders after airing a story about former President George W. Bush‘s Vietnam-era military service.

Rather, 77, sued CBS in 2007 and filed a separate fraud case against CBS Chief Executive Officer Leslie Moonves and former CBS News President Andrew Heyward in August. More…
