Denver Fox affiliate KDVR says a power outage caused by high winds in the area knocked it off the air “for a time” yesterday before its 5 p.m. news.
So the station says it “was all hands on deck with whiteboards, flip charts, photos on iPads and a makeshift studio in our newsroom.” They were ready to do the whole thing on Facebook.

“It was no frills, but they got the job done,” reports the Denver Post. “And the staff understandably broke into relieved applause afterward.
Power came back on around 5:40 p.m.
