KOIN in Portland, Ore., has lost one of its main anchors.

Jennifer Hoff, who has been off the air since June 10, announced last week that she has left the station after six years as her contract expired.

“The station and I mutually agreed it’s time to part ways so I can pursue other opportunities in the future,” she said on social media.

Along with the post, Hoff made a point to tell her viewers to continue to support local journalism.

“I admire their commitment and hard work, which is needed now more than ever,” she said.

Hoff is a Minnesota native and joined the Oregon station in 2014.

She previously worked for stations in Madison, Wis., Lexington, Ky., and Rochester, Minn.
