Morning anchor Erin Ovalle is leaving Portland ABC affiliate WMTW to run a dress boutique and salon she owns.

The Portland Press Herald reports, Ovalle said “that she felt ‘honored’ that viewers have included her in their morning routines for the past seven years.”

“While I will miss waking up with our viewers and the Channel 8 team, after seven years full-time on the news in Maine,” she wrote on Facebook, “I am eager to pursue other professional goals that are important to me, in addition to television.”

She opened her store, Style Me Portland, in September. Ovalle describes the shop as a dress boutique and beauty bar.
