Tom Green is leaving Denver Fox affiliate KDVR at the end of May, according to The Denver Post.

“It’s just time to change my vista,” Green told Post TV writer Joanne Ostrow, who reports Green is leaving after his contract expires. “I don’t have a plan.”

Before joining the Tribune-owned station more than 15 years ago, Green was the sports anchor at ABC affiliate KMGH and had worked as sports anchor for NBC affiliate KUSA for 13 years before that. He’s also done play-by-play, color and sideline reporting for ABC and Fox Sports and has hosted a game show for ESPN.

“He jumped in with both feet and was an instant favorite on morning television,” said news director Holly Gauntt. “Tom has been a part of the Channel 2 fabric ever since, informing, entertaining and enlightening viewers on ‘Daybreak.’ He’s built up quite a following in the 35 years he’s been on Denver TV.”

KDVR says “Green estimates he will have done about 4,000 Daybreak shows over his more than 15 years.”
