TVSpy has learned Philadelphia Police have charged 37-year-old Waheedah Wilson with simple assault and recklessly endangering another person after she allegedly attacked Telemundo Philadelphia reporter Iris Delgado.

Delgado was tossing back to the studio during an 11 p.m. live shot when Wilson approached, seemed to ask her a question then, according to the police report “immediately grabbed [Delgado’s] hair” and “punched [Delgado] three times on the right side of her head and pulled her to the ground.”

The police report says Delgado’s crew pushed Wilson away and followed her until police could make the arrest a block away.

“Iris Delgado was the victim of an unprovoked attack by an individual while reporting live for Telemundo62’s 11 PM local newscast,” a station spokesperson told TVSpy. “Thankfully, she is ok and is understandably taking some time off to recover. We look forward to her return.”
