KDKA reporter Amy Wadas is leaving her hometown of Pittsburgh for a job as an anchor and reporter at KMGH in Denver.

She told The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette she decided to leave the CBS owned station after her husband got a job in the Mile High city.

“It was kind of like the stars aligned in a way that it was a really good opportunity for career growth for me,” Wadas told the Post-Gazette. “When he got an opportunity too, to us, it was too much of a sign that we shouldn’t not take this because of how everything was lining up.”

Her last day at KDKA will be July 14.

Before joining KDKA in 2014, she worked at WCPO in Cincinnati. She started her career at WTRF in Wheeling, W.V.
