Phoenix Sports Director Shares Surprising News About his Future

By Stephanie Tsoflias Siegel

A Phoenix sports director has moved on and it seems like it wasn’t his choice.

Tim Ring posted a tweet that said he was leaving his post as head of the sports department from KPHO-KTVK after 10 years.

“From the “whoa” department: after 10 wonderful years at 3TV & CBS 5 sports, I am moving on. I hope you’ve enjoyed the stories and coverage we’ve brought you over the past decade. I know I’ve had a blast. To all of you, I say thanks – and may our TV paths someday cross again,” he said on Twitter.

Meredith owns both stations in the market.

Prior to working in Arizona, Ring did stints in Green Bay, Miami and Denver according to his social profiles.

It’s unclear who will replace him if anyone.
