Peg Rusconi Leaves Boston’s WBZ After 14 Years

By Merrill Knox

Peg Rusconi, who has been a reporter at WBZ for 14 years, will leave Boston to move to Cincinnati with her family, the station confirmed today.

Rusconi’s husband, Dan Hoard, has been hired as the radio play-by-play announcer for the Cincinnati Bengals, The Boston Herald reported. Hoard and Rusconi have one child.

The transition will mark a return to Cincinatti for Rusconi, who was a reporter at WKRC before joining WBZ in 1997. She is the third major news personality to announce a departure from Boston this week — Frances Rivera has left WHDH for WPIX, and Sara Underwood will leave WFXT to spend more time with her family.
