Orlando Fox-owned station WOFL is changing the way it does news at 11 p.m.

The station will launch an 11 minute newscast called NewsEdge 11@11, airing from 11 to 11:11 p.m. each weeknight followed by The Fox 35 SportsZone.

NewsEdge 11@11 will be anchored by Charles Billi and LuAnne Sorrell. The station says the show “will provide 11 minutes of uninterrupted news and weather, reporting on the biggest stories of the day, with coverage of late-breaking news and the complete AccuWeather forecast.”

The Fox 35 SportsZone will begin at 11:15 p.m. and air until 11:30. The show “will bring fans the highlights, as well as the debates, and feature sports stories unique to Central Florida. In addition, the program will continue to air Sundays at 10:45 p.m.” It will be anchored by Adam Shadoff and Evan Fitzgerald.

“As the amount of information out there increases by the minute, it’s our responsibility to our viewers to weed through the clutter and provide a concise and thorough summary of the news,” said vp and news director Jeff Zeller. “In addition to local and national news, viewers now have a daily, local destination for sports.”
