On Live TV, WXIN’s Jim O’Brien Proves He’s Not Scared Of Spiders (Anymore)

In September, a WXIN segment with an exotic animal expert went viral when meteorologist Jim O’Brien, who has a deathly fear of spiders, cut his forecast short and threatened to vacate the studio.

Well, the spider made another visit to  the station yesterday. O’Brien, determined to face his fear, visited a hypnotist, who “methodically and deliberately” worked with the meteorologist to overcome his fear.

The results were tested yesterday live on WXIN (watch above). Either the hypnosis was successful — or O’Brien’s just a really, really good actor. You decide.
