Ohio Chief Meteorologist to Focus on ‘Goofing Off’ in Retirement

By Kevin Eck

After nearly 30 years at the Stuebenville, Ohio FOX affiliate WTOV, chief meteorologist Kevin Carter will deliver his last forecast on Wednesday night.

In an article on the station website, Carter says “it’s time to focus on the ‘Gs’ in retirement – golf, guitar, grandkids, traveling the globe, and, his words — goofing off.”

Carter started his broadcasting career as a freelancer for WBNS in Columbus and got his first full-time position at WAGM in Presque Isle, Maine before joining WTOV in 1991.
