Obama Interview Round-Up: President Sits Down With WISH, KSNV, WREG and WCSH

In his latest local press push, President Obama sat down yesterday with anchors from WISH, KSNV, WREG and WCSH.

Each interview lasted about nine minutes. Topics of discussion were mostly the same across all four interviews — jobs and the economic recovery — with a particular focus on the payroll tax cut. In his interview with WISH anchor Debby Knox, Obama challenged Congress “not to be a grinch.”

“The American people don’t want as a Christmas present their taxes going up by $1,000,” he said. “And that will be true for 160 million Americans if we don’t extend this payroll tax cut.”
