NY1 investigative reporter Myles Miller was the first to report Caesar Sayoc‘s name in connection with the mail bombings. NY1, the Spectrum-owned station in New York, was also the first media outlet to show Sayoc’s photo.

Earlier today, authorities closed in on the van linked to the mail bombs sent this week and arrested Sayoc. Outlets immediately began tweeting out details and live chopper feeds.

Miller’s tweet confirming Sayoc’s named has since been shared hundreds of times. A number of reporters attributed his tweet saying Miller was the first to confirm this information.
