If you want to know what’s going on in Haiti from the ground level, one of your best bets is probably going to Facebook.
Since leaving as the weekend anchor of the Northland’s Newscenter to volunteer as a nurse in Port-au-Prince, Julie “Jitterbug” Pearce has documented her experiences in words and photos in striking detail on her Facebook page and blog. She describes helping the dying and wounded from last month’s devastating earthquake that, according to some estimates, has left about 250,000 dead.
