Sister stations NBC2 and ABC7 have a hired a new anchorman, and he comes with a very modern cautionary tale. Jim Walker will start later this month, anchoring the stations’ weekend newscasts. He was previously the main anchorman at KBTV-TV, the CBS station in Beaumont, Texas.
Unlike so many fresh-faced TV people barely out of college, Walker has nearly two decades of reporting and anchoring experience, in television and radio. Nevertheless, he wasn’t too old to learn a valuable lesson about the Internet.
