Noreen Jaramillo Leaving KTSM

picture-12058Morning anchor Noreen Jaramillo has decided to leave KTSM, the El Paso, Texas, NBC affiliate. Jaramillo announced the news on Facebook yesterday, writing:

Tomorrow (Wednesday) will be my last day on News Channel 9 Today – it has been a wonderful last three years waking up with you. I will remain here in El Paso with my husband and kids… so hopefully I will see you around! Again THANK YOU for your support throughout my TV career here in El Paso!

Jaramillo was famously the first-ever anchor at El Paso’s KFOX and spent the next 10 years there. She later left to work at FOX affiliate KTVU in San Francisco, only to return a few years later. Jaramillo eventually took a break from TV news to work as the public information officer at the New Mexico Department of Agriculture, serving as spokesperson and media liaison.

There’s no word on what she will do next, but Jaramillo’s not worried: “I believe God has another plan for me and that one door may close but another will open.”
