Noncompete Now Complete, Kurt Ludlow Says ‘I’m Back’

By Mark Joyella

Kurt Ludlow, who left Columbus CBS affiliate WBNS last June after 23 years, is back. Ludlow shared a photo of himself on Instagram Wednesday, standing outside the studios of ABC affiliate WSYX. “I’m back. Details tomorrow,” he wrote.

On Facebook, WSYX anchor Bill Kelly wrote a message, “welcome to the team Kurt Ludlow!”

Ludlow waged a public battle over his WBNS non-compete agreement, arguing that he and his family, who did not want to leave their home in Columbus, were unable to survive financially if he was unable to work.

Now, the noncompete is over, and it looks like Ludlow’s eager to get back on the air.
