Nine Months After Exiting KXJB-KVLY, Robin Huebner Hired at Rival WDAY

By Merrill Knox

Former KXJB-KVLY anchor Robin Huebner has been hired at rival WDAY, the Fargo Forum reports.

Huebner resigned from KXFB-KVLY in Fargo last year after she was reassigned from the 10 p.m. anchor desk. She later filed a federal lawsuit against Hoak Media, the parent company of the duopoly, calling the experience “personally and professionally humiliating.” The lawsuit is still pending.

In her new role, Huebner will co-anchor the 5 p.m. newscast on WDAY, the Fargo ABC-affiliate, as well as work on a new print venture for The Forum. Both the station and the newspaper are owned by Forum Communications.

“We are excited to have Robin join our team,” Forum publisher Bill Marcil Jr. said in a statement. “The Forum and WDAY have worked together over the years, but Robin is one of the first people to truly split her time between the two newsrooms.”
