Nexstar Names GM of West Virginia Station

Jim Dodrill has been named vp and GM of Nexstar-owned WBOY in Clarksburg-Weston, W.V.

This is a promotion for Dodrill, who has been the general sales manager for the NBC and ABC affiliate since 2012.

“For over two and a half decades, I have had the privilege of serving several outstanding communities in West Virginia and I am grateful to extend my record of service in my home state by taking on this new opportunity at Nexstar,” said Dodrill. “As a native, I understand the opportunities and challenges that are facing West Virginia’s local residents and businesses.”

Before joining WBOY, Dodrill was owner and president of J7 Marketing in Bridgeport, W.V. He started his career in radio at West Virginia Radio Corporation as an account executive at WAJR-AM/WVAQ-FM in North Central West Virginia, before being promoted to local sales manager of WKKW-FM. He then later worked as station manager/local sales manager of WFBY-FM/WSSN-FM.
