Larry Cottrill has been named vp and GM of Nexstar’s ABC affiliate in Richmond, Va. WRIC.
“Mr. Cottrill has consistently exceeded economic and operational goals by implementing innovative programming strategies and unique digital concepts while elevating the level of service provided to viewers and clients,” said Nexstar svp and Regional Manager Doug Davis. “Importantly, he has been successful in building local news operations that challenged its competition and achieved market leadership in key newscasts. Cottrill last worked as vp and GM of Nexstar’s Clarksburg, W.V. station WBOY. He’s also worked at Nexstar’s WOWK in Charleston-Huntington, W.V., WTRF in Wheeling, W.V. and WVNS in Ghent, W.V.
