Nexstar Names GM of North Dakota Stations

In a return to the station where he started his career, Robert Romine has been named vp and gm of CBS affiliates KXMB-KXMC-KXMA-KXMD in the Bismarck-Minot, N.D. market.

He got the job on the same day Nexstar’s acquisition of the stations from Reiten Television was made official.

Romine’s first TV broadcast job was in 1979 at KXMB when it was owned by Reiten Television. He was named GM in 1992. Four years later, he took a job as gsm of KHQA in Quincy, Illinois and was promoted to vp and gm of WYTV in Youngstown, Ohio in 2001. Romine comes to Nexstar from Media General where he’s worked as group leader of Media Generals’s stations’ in Mobile, Al. and Jackson, Miss. WJTV-WHLT-WKRG. In 2011, he was named president and gm of WSPA and WYCW in Spartanburg, S.C.
