Nexstar Media Inc. has named Larry Forsgren vice president and general manager of its broadcasting and digital operations for CBS affiliate WCIA, MyNet affiliate WCIX, WCIA.com and the stations’ related digital and social media channels in Champaign-Springfield, Ill.
He starts immediately and reports to Traci Wilkinson, senior vice president and regional manager for Nexstar Broadcasting.
Forsgren was previously the vp and gm of KMTV in Omaha, Neb. He also worked for Nexstar between 2015 and 2016 as sales director for WMBD and WYZZ, the Nexstar television stations in Peoria, Ill.
Before that, Forsgren was the director of sales and, later, gm of EW Scripps-owned KMTV. He’s also served in leadership positions of increasing responsibility at television stations in Omaha, Madison, Wis. and Yakima, Wash.
