Someone Tests Positive for Coronavirus in Newsy Office Building

By Stephanie Tsoflias Siegel

Newsy’s Chicago Bureau is operating at limited capacity for now after someone in the building tested positive for the coronavirus.

TVSpy obtained an internal email sent to employees Sunday night:

“Apparently someone in the office tower where you all work tested positive for coronavirus. Tony is putting out a note with all the details shortly. What that means is that all Chicago newsgatherers are going to work from home from Monday onwards. Because the person who tested positive for COVID has not been in the building for a week, you will be able to go back to the bureau to pick up whatever you might need to WFH.”

Employees are working from home indefinitely.

Update: Newsy is still operating at limited capacity in its Chicago office. Some reporters and other employees are working from home.
