News Director Out at WWAY

WWAY news director Scott Pickey is out at the Wilmington, NC, ABC affiliate.

A call to WWAY confirmed Pickey no longer worked at the station. WWAY wouldn’t comment on when he left or why.

Pickey made headlines last year when he had to pay a fine and go to driving school after he drove into a local Martin Luther King, Jr. parade.

Pickey’s bio has been removed from the station website.
