News director Don Shafer has left San Diego CW affiliate XETV. Chuck Dunning, the station’s general manager, confirmed Shafer’s departure in an email to TVSpy.
Shafer joined XETV in 2013 from Peoria, where he was news and multimedia content manager for NBC affiliate WEEK.
Also at XETV, the station confirms morning anchor Heather Myers has left, reportedly to join CBS affiliate KFMB.
