News Director Leaves Station, Gets Mets Tickets

WXII said goodbye to news director Barry Klaus by giving him tickets to watch some New York Mets games.

The Hearst-owned Winston-Salem NBC affiliate said Klaus is heading to New York to begin a “new enterprise.”

In January, Hearst hired Michelle Butt from Baltimore’s WBAL to replace former GM Hank Price. 12 of Klaus’ 14 years at WXII were spent as news director.
