Erik Schrader has left Hartford-New Haven ABC affiliate WTNH, where he has been news director since 2011.
A station source tells TVSpy that Al Carl, who has been managing editor at WTNH since 2012, has been named news director, though it is not clear whether his appointment is temporary. Before joining WTNH, Carl worked as news director at KMTV in Omaha and as executive producer at KSHB in Kansas City.
The Laurel reports Schrader is moving to another LIN Media station as a general manager.
