Hundreds of reporters from all over the world gathered yesterday at a church in Brooklyn to await a statement from Nafissatou Diallo, the woman accusing former IMF chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn of sexual assault. Diallo was sighted just seconds after News 12 reporter Matt Pieper started his report (above), and in the following few minutes, a frenzied stream of reporters and cameramen ran through his live shot in pursuit of the woman, giving viewers a glimpse of the parts of a stakeout they don’t usually see.
“Seems as though maybe she is running out the back door, actually,” Pieper said. “My gosh, this is really going on as we speak.”
