By Kevin Eck

Tribune’s New York CW affiliate WPIX is debuted its “fully renovated” set and graphics tonight.

WPIX says it’s the only local station in the market to use full 16:9 graphics and employ a crawl in every newscast.

The station says it wants the new look to “embody the atmosphere and feel of all five boroughs in New York.”

“First off if you’re joining us,”said Tamsen Fadal during the 5:00 p.m. news. “This is our new set.”

A Tribune spokesperson told TVSpy the graphics were designed in-house, while the set was designed by Studio A Designs.

The station also announced the new look on its facebook page.
