New York Radio Host To Become WCNY News Director

New York Now host Susan Arbetter is leaving local PBS affiliate WMHT to become the News and Public Affairs Director at WCNY, the PBS affiliate based in Syracuse.

In the newly created position, Arbetter will oversee public affairs programming for the web, radio and television, splitting her time between WCNY in Syracuse and the state capitol.

Arbetter will host and produce live radio shows that will be heard throughout WCNY’s 19-county listening area and will also work to develop a news service for public and commercial television broadcasters.

“My vision is to see Susan’s daily political reports from the Capitol on stations around the state, from Long Island to Buffalo,” said Brian Damm, the VP of Television at WCNY. More…
