KTVU and KTVU Plus has a new vice president and general manager.
Mellynda Hartel will oversee the Fox duopoly in San Francisco, Calif.
“Mellynda has led a successful ad sales team at FTS for a number of years, most recently at our #1 station in San Francisco. Her unique understanding of the market, coupled with her local news sense and results-driven attitude, make her the natural choice to lead our San Francisco duopoly,” said Jack Abernethy, chief executive officer for Fox television stations.
Hartel is being promoted from her role as vice president and director of sales at the station, a position she’s held for four years. Before that she spent 11 years a vice president and general sales manager for KSAZ-KUTP the Fox duopoly in Phoenix.
She is a graduate of Bryant University and has a bachelors degree in Business Communications. Hartel begins her new role on November 1.
