New KAKE Owner Names GM

Lockwood Broadcasting says Neal Davis will take over as gm of KAKE in Wichita, Kan., as soon as its deal with Gray Television goes through.

“Neal did a wonderful job in Knoxville and is the perfect fit to continue the winning tradition at KAKE,” said Lockwood vp Gerald Walsh. “We are fortunate to have a broadcaster of Neal’s experience and character leading the team in Wichita.”

Gray announced in October it was trading the Wichita ABC affiliate for Lockwood-owned WBXX along with $11.2 million in cash. Current KAKE gm Brad Moses will stay with Gray helping new Gray stations integrate with the station group.
