FOX61, the Tribune-owned Fox affiliate in Hartford, Connecticut, is opening a bureau on the University of New Haven’s campus.

The partnership will allow students to get involved in the production of local news coverage.

“It will provide all of our students with an opportunity to observe closely — right on their own campus — how the news is gathered, edited, and broadcast,” said Steven H. Kaplan, president of the University of New Haven.
