The recent hires at WPIX/Ch. 11 include some big names in the local TV world, but they’re also known for carrying some baggage.
Larry Mendte, Vince DeMentri and Mike Sheehan all have had off-air trouble– involving the law or co-workers–that could make them less employable.
However, Bill Carey, Ch. 11’s news director, has created a home for folks needing second chances.
