News 12 Long Island Studio Gets Multimillion Dollar Upgrade

News 12 Long Island will receive new broadcast and digital studios.

Altice USA said the multimillion dollar project—which includes a new and expansive 40,000-sq.-ft. broadcast center—has been in development for a year.

“Our new and enhanced studios will enable News 12 to continue to be the leader in the hyper-local news space while offering a fresh and modern look and opportunities for new content creation to excite our viewers while attracting new audiences,” said Michael Schreiber, president of Altice USA News group.

The new space will include space for the production of news and digital packages, a new newsroom and public space as well as a technology hub that will include four new control rooms.

Construction will begin 2019.
