Neil Patrick Harris Signs On to Host Emmys

By Andrew Gauthier

Neil Patrick Harris, fresh from hosting CBS’ telecast of the Tony Awards, has been signed to do the same for the CBS “61st Primetime Emmy Awards.”

“I’m looking forward to the challenge of the show – adding my own voice to it, while honoring the nominees and the entire year in television,” Harris said in a statement. “But which voice to choose? I’m torn between gangsta, foppish Brit and robot. Really proud of my robot. We’ll see what happens on the night.”

Harris, one of the stars of the CBS comedy “How I Met Your Mother,” will also serve as a producer for the “Emmy” show, set to air live on Sept. 20 from Los Angeles. (via Daily News)
