NECN Hires Investigative Reporter

Karen Hensel has been hired by NECN as an investigative reporter.

“One of the priorities for our newsroom is to build an investigative and consumer unit that will help distinguish us from the broadcast competition in the market” said an NBC spokesperson.

Hensel last worked at WISH in Indianapolis, ind. where she worked for 14 years. She left the station last January.

NECN reporter Ally Donnelly posted her welcome to Hensel on her Facebook page. “Thrilled to welcome award-winning investigative reporter Karen Hensel to the @NECN Investigates, #NBCBoston team! Look for her on air sometime this summer.”
