On NBC “Nightly News,” White House correspondent Savannah Guthrie delivered on something Matt Lauer teased this morning: “a dramatic and unexpected turn” in the saga of Tareq and Michaele Salahi.
Guthrie was shown emails between the Salahis and White House official Michele Jones that show, while the Salahis did not have an official invitation, they were led to believe they were allowed in to Pres. Obama’s first state dinner one week ago tonight.

Guthrie also went where Lauer didn’t this morning, mentioning what she called “the Bravo connection.”
