The Sacramento Kings are offering fans at home a way to broaden their viewing experience.
The NBA franchise is launching Kings TV Companion, which will provide video highlights, social media applications and other features that can enhance the experience of watching a game on television or on a computer.
Located on Kings.com, the Kings TV Companion will integrate social networking features such as Facebook and Twitter, and allow users to interact with other fans and on-air talent in real time. Kings fans can access their social networking sites from Kings TV Companion and participate in widespread fan forums or in private chats with friends, a news release said Thursday.
The companion program also will simulate the experience of being in an NBA arena press box by giving viewers access to pregame media notes, real-time statistical information, breaking news, 3-D shot charts and play-by-play analysis. More…
