Nashville Reporter Helps Viewer Get Her Pet Fish Back After Flood

WZTV reporter Jackie DelPilar helped a viewer get her pet fish back after they were swept away in a flood.

Gladys Rodgers told the Nashville Fox affiliate that recent flooding had swept her fish out of her pond. She assumed they were dead.

DelPilar was covering flood damage in Mayfield, Ky., on Wednesday afternoon. Heavy rain led to widespread flooding, washing out roads and damaging homes.

While the two were talking, a neighbor came by to let Rodgers know he saw her fish swimming down the street. They found the orange goldfish swimming in standing water in a backyard.

Neighbors gave them a bucket and they went to work to get the fish back to their home.
