Morning Anchor Dog Out at WTNH

By Kevin Eck

Nell, the morning cockapoo for WTNH, is no longer with the Hartford ABC affiliate.

FTVLive first reported the station decided to go in another direction.

“Many of you have reached out asking about my whereabouts recently,” said Nell in a facebook post from guardian Ali Reed. “I wanted to let you know the station has decided to go in another direction, so I will no longer be a part of the Good Morning Connecticut team.”

Nell started with WTNH in January. Below you can watch the station’s welcome.

Here’s the goodbye letter from Nell:

“Good morning friends! I have a message to share from Anchor Dog Nell:
Hi all! It’s Anchor Dog Nell here.
Many of you have reached out asking about my whereabouts recently. I wanted to let you know the station has decided to go in another direction, so I will no longer be a part of the Good Morning Connecticut team.
I will miss them – and you the viewers – so very much. Thank you for welcoming me with a wag and smile each morning and for making my TV debut so enjoyable.
It’s clear Connecticut is a state that cares a lot about dogs and I feel proud to be a pooch in this state. I’ll still post about dog-related stories on Twitter and Instagram so be sure to follow me there @AnchorDogNell !
Love and licks,
Anchor Dog Nell
