CBS46 in Atlanta now has only one main anchor seat open instead of two.
The Meredith station named Shon Gables as the replacement for anchor Sharon Reed, who left in April after four years.
“Shon has been in the chair all summer and has done a terrific job,” said news director Steve Doerr in an email to staff according to AJC.com. “Our shows have never looked better and her digital footprint is among the best in the market.”

Gables came to the station as a morning reporter from Shreveport, La.
So now CBS46 is looking for her co-anchor. This week, Thomas Roberts left the station for new opportunities after only 14 months.
