Great Falls, Mont. ABC and FOX affiliate KFBB began its 10:00 p.m. last night with what it called “very difficult news” to report. “Just after 6:30 this evening Cowles Montana Media lost one of our own in a triple shooting in Missoula,” anchor Katie Widner told viewers.

>UPDATE: Police say KTMF news director Kalee Scolatti was killed, along with family friend Anthony Dupras.

Police say evidence suggest the gunman shot himself after shooting Scolatti and Dupras. He remains in critical condition.

The station said it wouldn’t reveal the names of the victims until it was sure all the family members had been notified, other than to say they worked at KTMF in Missoula.

The Missoulan reports “[…] ABC Fox Montana released a statement on social media, saying the victims included a woman who worked at the television station and her husband. Police would not confirm that information.”

“We are working on a search warrant for the residence now,” [police detective Traivs] Welsh said. No other houses or residents were affected by the shooting.
