Missouri Anchor Leaves Station Suddenly, Refers Questions to Attorney

Anchor David Oliver has left Springfield, Mo. CBS affiliate KOLR after 17 years.

“Dear friends…I wanted to let you know that my time at KOLR10 has come to an end. It’s been an honor to share the news with you over these last 17 years,” Oliver wrote on Facebook. “Thank you for your care and kindness to me and my children. The KOLR10 newsroom is filled with talented and dedicated journalists who work hard to keep you informed. Keep watching them and supporting local news.”

The Springfield News-Leader reports Oliver is referring questions about his departure to his attorney. His bio has been removed from the station’s website.

Oliver started working at KOLR in 2003. According to his Linkedin page, he worked at KTVB in Boise, Idaho before that. He’s also worked at WIBW in Topeka, Kan. He started his career at KAKE in Wichita, Kan.
