WLOX meteorologist, Carrie Duncan, is putting body shamers in their place.
“I am sharing this email I received to show you what some people have to go through,” Duncan said.
Duncan, who is the evening weather anchor for the Raycom-owned ABC affiliate in Biloxi, Mississippi, posted an email from a viewer with the subject ‘OMG’ on her Facebook page yesterday.
“I’m not happy with my weight right now. I am tired a lot and not getting much sleep and eating poorly.” But said a recent email crossed the line.

Why in the world have you continued to tear your health up with all that weight? You will not live to see your children grow if you do not get rid of that horrid gut and arms. You are an embarrassment to yourself and all the viewers of WLOX on the Gulf Coast.
“There are some people who are seriously unhappy. Ugly people always have something ugly to say. Please think about the people you are saying these things about and to,” Duncan told viewers.
Duncan, who is from Mississippi, has been at the station since 2002. She started her career in 1998 in Erie, Pennsylvania.
