Missing Dog Back with Owner After Boston Crew Spots Suspected Thief

Titus the German Short Haired Pointer is back home thanks to WHDH reporter Juliana Mazza.

The suspected thief was caught on security camera walking Titus after the dog went missing from a parked vehicle last Friday.

On Saturday, the WHDH news crew was doing an unrelated story near the scene of the alleged dog theft when they recognized the pair from the photo. The station’s photojournalist recorded the confrontation when Mazza asked the suspect about the dog and then called police.

Titus got his human back. The suspect said it was all a misunderstanding.

“I’m really sorry that happened,” the suspect told  said outside the courtroom on Monday. “The dog was treated very well and I’m just sorry that it ended this way. I am. And I feel really bad.”

“I’m just glad that the person came back and I’m just glad that you guys were there,” Titus’ owner told Mazza. “If anyone ever sees this who question the value of media, social media, broadcast media, this proves it.”
