Minnesota Anchor Gives Dallas Reporter Frank Advice on Dealing With Winter Weather

By Kevin Eck

Dallas reporters don’t normally work in the snow and the low temperatures that hit the state this week. So KTVT reporter Ken Molestina did what any reporter would do: ask the experts how it’s done.

Molestina turned to Jason DeRusha, a morning anchor at the Minneapolis CBS-owned station WCCO, for advice.

“You’re not supposed to be dealing with this, but here in Minnesota we are built for this,” DeRusha said. “In Minnesota, we wear it like a badge of honor.”

DeRusha offered up this advice. “Allow yourself to enjoy the misery,” he told Molestina.
