WISN 12 News announced today (Thursday) that Luke Sampe, chief meteorologist at WJFW TV, the NBC affiliate in Wausau/Rhinelander, will be joining the WeatherWatch 12 team on Oct. 4.
Sampe has been the chief meteorologist at WJFW since 2006. He has several ties to Milwaukee. An AMS sealed meteorologist, Luke graduated from UW-Milwaukee with a B.S. in atmospheric science and an M.S. in mathematics with an emphasis on atmospheric science. He also teaches mathematics at Nicolet Area Technical College in Rhinelander.
